I just recently moved to Ohio and I am very excited to get involved in the art community. This opportunity would be an amazing experience!

A little about my artwork:
I really enjoy the use of color! Most (if not all) of my art is colorful. Not only does this make it wonderful for adults, but also for children! My main focus is acrylic, abstract paintings and something I created called “therapeutic art” or “smelly art” (patent pending-wax on canvas). This is something I find close to my heart. The point of the smelly art, is to change the way people view or choose art. The way you do this is with your sense of smell, not your eyes. Everyone has certain smells that they love (or hate) but most of all, it sparks a memory. Once that memory is sparked, it gets a person involved in a thought, perhaps a conversation…something that gets them going again. If you could have a favorite childhood smell brought back to life as an adult and feel that sense of peace for just a moment…then that is what smelly art is all about!

I have also ventured to incorporate other things at my booth such as glassware (which is just drinkware currently), woodwork, macramé, and other mixed media work (bottle cap art). I am extremely excited to share my work with others, and to network. My main goal with my art is to make someone smile. Even if it’s just for a split second of their time/day. There is so much negativity that gets highlighted in the world that it’s nice to escape from it all. And that is why I do what I do. If I can help to change one person’s day into something better/brighter with my art…then I have accomplished my goal. AKM Creations motto is “Live the Upside to every Downside” (c) because no matter what you are going through, no matter how down or at the bottom things might seem…there is always a small piece of hope/light at the end. There is beauty in the little things. And when people look at my art, I want them to get that feeling…that there is hope, and maybe, just maybe, for a moment, they can find the peace or happiness they’ve been needing.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
Peace & Love
